During the XERF™ treatment
A typical face and neck treatment takes approximately 30 to 60 minutes.
The treatment area is cleansed and prepared before the XERF™ handpiece is applied to the skin. As radiofrequency energy is delivered, patients typically feel a sensation of warmth combined with cooling from the cryogen spray system. The treatment is comfortable and very tolerable.

✓ Avoid sun exposure and tanning (including tanning beds and self-tanners) for at least 1 week before treatment.
✓ Discontinue retinoids, AHAs/BHAs, and other exfoliating products 3–5 days prior to treatment to reduce the risk of sensitivity.
✓ Stay well-hydrated—hydrated skin tends to respond better to energy-based treatments.
✓ Let us know if you’ve had any recent cosmetic procedures – such as fillers, Botox®, or other laser treatments, so we can properly space out treatments.
✓ Apply a gentle, soothing moisturizer to calm the skin if needed
✓ Use SPF 30 or higher daily, and reapply as needed—sun protection is essential
✓ Keep skin hydrated with water and nourishing products
✓ Avoid Hot tubs, saunas, or intense workouts (to avoid excess heat buildup)
