Microneedling

Microneedling is a tried and tested treatment for revitalizing skin and boosting collagen production with dermal skin remodelling. The treatment helps alleviate deep wrinkles, stretch marks, acne scars (pitting), and dilated pores.

How Does Microneedling Work?

Microneedling or “skin needling” is a treatment used to catalyze collagen development. It requires the use of a licensed device named Endymed Intensif, which contains fine needles. These needles are designed to gently pierce the skin and produce a measured skin injury. The goal is to puncture the target area and help promote elastin or collagen development. Over time, the skin begins to heal, and noticeable improvements are seen in skin firmness, texture, and appearance.

With microneedling, the results can be seen within the first week. Many patients point to results in their second or third recovery day. The body will begin to develop collagen and regenerate punctured tissue. This will lead to healthier, smoother skin. We offer a resounding procedure with certified methods, refined processes, and a commitment to detail. The specialists are trained to handle this procedure and have years of experience in treating an array of skin-related concerns.

About the Procedure

Treatments require a detailed assessment by your specialist to determine the skin’s current condition, future progression, and how it will respond to microneedling. Once this assessment is complete and a plan is penned, the date is set for your first session.

On the day of the first session, a specialist will go over the skin again to ensure nothing was missed. The equipment will be set into place before the target area is prepared. During the microneedling procedure, a device equipped with fine needles is passed over the targeted area of the skin. The needles create controlled micro-injuries, triggering the skin’s natural healing process. Depending on the device used, the procedure may be performed manually or using automated devices.

The specialist will continue to analyze the skin as it’s worked on. This treatment encompasses 3 sessions (3-4 week intervals) and patients may seek additional touch-up sessions if necessary. In general, 3 sessions are more than enough and deliver powerful results. Each session will be around 40–45 minutes in length.

What is the downtime after microneedling?

After microneedling, the treated skin may appear red and feel slightly sensitive, similar to a mild sunburn. However, any redness or irritation usually subsides within a day or two. Most patients can resume their regular activities shortly after the procedure.

Can microneedling be combined with other treatments?

Yes, microneedling can be combined with other treatments like PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy, sculptra, hyaluronic acid serum, restylane skin booster and more, to enhance its effects and address specific skin concerns.

Is microneedling suitable for all skin types?

Microneedling is generally safe for most skin types. However, individuals with certain skin conditions or active infections may not be suitable candidates. A consultation with a qualified skincare professional can help determine eligibility for the procedure.

How long does it take to see results from microneedling?

Results from microneedling are not immediately apparent, as collagen production takes time. Improvements are typically noticed gradually over several weeks to months after the treatment series.

Is microneedling safe?

When performed by a trained and experienced professional, microneedling is generally safe. However, there are some potential risks, such as minor skin irritation or infection, which can be minimized by adhering to post-treatment care instructions and maintaining good skincare practices.
