Double Pico
How Does Double Pico Work?
Although the devices are based off picosecond laser technology, the devices withhold different wavelengths that target different levels of the dermis and different pigments. By combining the pros and cons of both devices, the “Double Pico” is able to cover a wider range of pigments and wavelengths to provide faster and greater results.
Double Pico has a wavelength of 755 nm which perfectly targets pigmentation such as sun spots with also the effects of brightening and evening the skin texture. PicoWay on the other hand has a wavelength of 1064 which dives deeper into the dermis, fades lesions, promotes collagen production, shrink pore sizes and skin rejuvenation. PicoWay and Double Pico both share the wavelength of 532 nm which can target vascular lesions.
With the wide range of wavelengths including 532, 785, and 1064 nm, the PicoWay is able to treat a wide range of discolorations and tattoos. However, Double Pico holds greater potential with the 755 nm when it comes to pigmentation. By combining both of the technology, the pigmentation can be destroyed into a smaller size to be metabolized faster than Double Pico and PicoWay on its own with greater results and quicker results.

About the Procedure
Before starting the treatment, the practitioner will help apply numbing cream to the treatment area to reduce the sensation for the treatment. The practitioner will first begin with using the PicoWay then proceed with Double Pico after. Picoway and Double Pico is performed with a high-power picosecond laser that produces the shortest pulses available.
With short repetitive pulses, Double Pico and PicoWay laser reach the area of the skin that needs to be treated. Then, the pulses target and break down that area into such small particles that the body eliminates them through the natural process. What is important is that it leaves the surface of the skin intact, while being so effective in the targeted area.
After the procedure, the practitioner will follow up with a soothing mask and a cooling mask to reduce the swelling. After treatment, the patient may proceed to cleanse their face with only lukewarm water and avoid creating any friction on the treatment area. Makeup is not recommended till the skin is healed after the third day. The skin will appear red and potentially swell within the first two to three days, and can proceed with normal routine after the third day.
